Kelsey Bonifacio

At the age of 3, Kelsey Bonifacio started dancing in her hometown of Oshawa, Ontario.  Since then, she has focused her efforts on training in all genres of dance – jazz, contemporary, hip hop, tap, modern, ballet, as well as improving her vocal and acting skills and receiving all of her BATD certifications. Kelsey began her formal training at the Theatre Dance Academy and has competed all over Canada and the United States. While competing, Kelsey still managed to perform in-studio training at events such as the ”Dance For It” Gala and many other benefits, and was also asked to perform as a dancer in the musical ”Alladin”.  Not only was her competition season extemely successful, but she was also awarded with numerous performance awards throughout the years. Kelsey then decided she wanted to further her education and enrolled in the Performing Arts program at Sheridan College in Oakville Ontario, where she learned acting methods, vocal strengthening, musical theatre, and the ins and outs of the industry in general. Kelsey was also selected as dance captain and choreographer for Sheridan`s year-end show, “They Say It`s Wonderful”, where she trained students with limited dance experience and prepared them for the stage.  After graduating from Sheridan, she went on to attend George Brown College`s Commercial Dance Program. There, she fine-tuned her dance training and had the opportunity to work with some of the most respected choreographers in the business such as Derek Sangster, Stephen Findlay, Apolonia Velasquez, Ofilio Sinbadinho, and Candice Helm, to name a few.  During her time at George Brown, Kelsey performed in events such as ” Culture Day” and the Ontario Colleges Award Ceremony. As a recent graduate, Kelsey is constantly training throughout Toronto and has found a home at LR Productions, where she hopes to continue to develop her skills and become a dancer to look out for.
